Back in December, we headed down to my old college stomping grounds (Stillwater, OK) to shoot a wedding at a church I actually attended my first year or so there. It was our first Stillwater wedding and I couldn't have been more thrilled to be there! I hope we can do more work down there! Special thanks to a fellow OSU alum and friend, Kevin Ferstl, for sending Tanner and Kelly our way!
Due to timing, we didn't get a chance to meet with the couple before their big day. I mean sure, we talked a ton through e-mails, etc... but we didn't get to meet face to face. That tends to make me a little nervous, but so far we've really lucked out with great couples anyway! =) Kelly and Tanner were no exception. Kelly was a SUPER laid back bride and Tanner was as friendly as could be. Their wedding party and families were also truly great. Kelly and I even got to hang out a bit back in the bride's room while everyone else was lined up to start the ceremony. I probably asked her a trillion questions but she was sweet to answer anyway. We actually have quite a bit in common... she and Tanner dated a looong time and had some long-distance thrown in there too. I'm so happy they get to be together now... I remember what a great feeling that was!
Anyway, enough rambling. Here's a few shots from their absolutely beautiful Christmas-time wedding. Enjoy!!
Oh - I forgot to mention that after the wedding, we went and ate at the GLORIOUS Hideaway Pizza!!! AND - we stopped in Chris' to pick me up a new OSU t-shirt too. =) Couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!
Oooh- that reminds me. I took a picture of the delicious "Hideaway Special" pizza we had... but it's not downloaded, so I'll post that on my personal blog soon. "What?! You have a personal blog now Alisha?" Why yes, yes I do. Just started it as a New Years Resolution of sorts. If you're at all interested, feel free to check it out at dacandalisha.blogspot.com!
Oh, Oh!! You'll be seeing more of Tanner and Kelly this year because we will be taking their (we didn't have time for engagement pictures but still want some awesome pictures of ourselves in something other than a gown and tux) pictures later this Spring/Summer! Looking forward to hanging out again on a less busy day!
Love all her faces!! Thanks for the alert. I had slacked off on my blog stalking lately!
(12.22.10)Oh, what a sweetie! She has so much beautiful hair for 3 months! Love the cute little headbands :)

I don't have long to chat since I have to head to work in a bit, but wanted to share a few pictures from Erica's maternity session. You'll probably remember Erica and Justin from their engagement pictures and wedding. Now, they're having a baby!!! A baby boy... due in January. Can't wait to meet him.
Let me tell you this. I'm not sure we've ever taken pictures in weather as cold and windy as when we took these. I literally lost all feeling in my hands and most of it in my legs and I had a coat on!!! Poor Erica and Justin did not. They were great though. Erica has such a "do what it takes" attitude. =) Of course she's beautiful too and the cold didn't change that!
See for yourself!
Awesome!!! I love them all you guys did a great job. Erica you look amazing!!!!
(12.20.10)Beautiful. I love the butterfly one..Can't wait to meet Aldrick.
(12.20.10)These are beautiful pics! I do have to agree with Jo...the one with the butterfly effect turned out awesome! Cant wait to see the rest! Great Job Alisha and Dac! once again :)!
(12.20.10)One word... Beautiful!
(12.20.10)Did you notice the silloughette of the angel in the picture with the suns rays, the one after the butterfly....it looks an angel on the carpet, to the left just a little. awesome!

Yeah, it was uncomfortably COLD to say the least. But hey, it is December after all, what can we expect? Not to mention, we shouldn't complain because we've been pretty daggum lucky in the weather department up until now. Anyway, it was cold, there was shivering, crying kids, runny noses, and scrunching together to keep warm. =) I hate that they didn't get our typical session experience but I think they should be commended for being good sports and braving the weather for some family pictures anyway. I know I still had fun with everyone.
The "original" cousins decided to get big family pictures this year. I think it's great. Families are constantly growing and changing and it's good to have some documentation, ya know? Especially in the form of family pictures! =)
Here's some of the pictures from their short and sweet session:
Thank you sooo much!! I love them!!
(12.15.10)Love the one of DeDe
(12.15.10)Thank you for doing this on the coldest day with 16 people. I love them!
(12.30.10)
It was a Little Mermaid party. Which first of all, I didn't know Arial was still popular (or popular again) but I'm glad she is!! Love me some Little Mermaid. She had some adorable cupcakes too...with edible clam shells on top!
She is one of the coolest kids I know. She is sweet, hilarious, caring, full of energy, and an awesome dancer! =) What's not to love? We love having her around and are thankful that her mom and dad let us hang out with her!
Now to the pictures: She posed herself for some of these. =) You'll also notice she got a pretty sweet present...
I love everything about these...the girl, the pictures....just everything..Love you Charli!!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We had a great time working with but especially getting to know the two of you! Tanner and I are so thankful for your help capturing our "someday", as we've called it all these years. Now that our day has come and gone, I'm so glad we have something so special to look back on. I can't wait to get our family portraits taken this spring!
