Well, it was bound to happen. With the weather as crazy as it has been lately, it was only a matter of time before we had a rainy session. It wasn't the cool kind of rain either. Not the downpour that looks good with bright yellow rain boots, a kooky umbrella, and a rubber ducky in a puddle. No, it wasn't that kind of rain. It was the drizzly-not big enough to show up and look cool in pictures rain-but too big to be out in it without cover rain.

Yep, it rained for Dallas and Aubrey's engagement session this past weekend. Sigh. I hated to see that (and I love rain!) It, of course, put some limits on us but these two were troopers! They even dragged their instruments out in this mess! I've known Dallas for years so it was good to see him again! He and Aubrey are great together and are hilarious too. =)

Well guys...it's been a long week. I woke up last Sunday morning and learned that my cousin, Ryan, had passed away during the night after a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer. To say we were all devastated would be an understatement. Ryan means so much to each of us!

I just got back from a few days in Minnesota for his memorial service. This is one of the hardest, if not THE hardest weeks I've ever had. Thankfully I have a great, close family that made the trip more bearable. Because of this trip we had to cancel and/or reschedule a couple photo sessions. We also took a little longer to get pictures out this week. I want to thank you all for being so great during this time. I know for a few of you this has been a big inconvenience. Thanks for understanding. We have the best clients... hands down!!

That same Sunday, we had an engagement session with the WONDERFUL Josh and Laci. I know I was probably a complete space cadet but we really did have a great time with these two. Josh and Laci are very sincere and I love that they're goofy with each other! They are just so much fun to be around. We can't wait for their June wedding!!

Hey guys! Hope you all had a great weekend! I'm thrilled it's almost time for the next one! =) What about you? Our weekend was great. We got to visit with friends we don't see very often and had a blast. Then, Sunday, we hung out with these two and did their engagement session. Aside from the wind it was a pretty perfect day and a perfect start to our wedding season. Joey and Sammi did great and were fun to shoot. Can't wait for their wedding in May!

Hello long lost blog friends. I guess I'm really the lost one. I sort of took a blogging hiatus (obviously) but I'm back! =) I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and that the new year got off to a great start. We had wonderful holidays! I know I promised to have pictures of all our get togethers but I guess I'm a big fat liar because I really dropped the ball this time!! Sorry!

So today, I've decided to do a little recap of 2009. I selected just a few of my favorite wedding and engagement shots we blogged last year. We were really so fortunate to work with great couples and had a blast this year. Here's a look!

I am so excited to finally be posting again and so excited to finally be posting this great session! =) I am giddy with excitement right now! We first met Adrienne at these guys' wedding. We love getting to know other awesome people through our already awesome clients/friends.

Adrienne and I talked through e-mails for several weeks prior to the shoot and I knew the shoot would be fabulous. I sensed that she was very stylish, laid-back, and fun-loving...and that Jerry had to be just as cool. I've got mad people reading skills so of course I was dead on! =) I also bet there's never a dull moment with these two either. They pretty much radiate love and happiness!
