Rocker Chick

We got to spend some time with this little girly girl rocker chick the other night. Is she not adorable? Oh my - it's ridiculous how cute she is. And sassy too! =) We had sooo much fun with her - and her momma had some super fun outfits for her to wear. See for yourself!



Speaking of her momma - Katie Jo was a good friend of mine in school  (Mo-Jo-Mae-Di - woop woop! I was Mae. Ah - middle school girls). =) We ran into each other a while back and it was so fun to catch up a bit.

Lenny+Emily: Engaged

When Emily asked us about photographing she and Lenny's wedding this January - I figured that it'd be a good time. I know Emily from school - she was another person I managed to eat lunch with a lot - and she's fun so it made since that Lenny would be fun too and their wedding would be one worth being a part of.

Well, the wedding is still months away but we've already had a blast with these two! =) Just look at these pictures - we met at a carwash for crying out loud and ended with round two at Ike's Donut Shop the next day. It's an engagement session for the record books!

Our Turn

Check us out... we spent some time in front of a camera a few weeks ago. We owe a very special thanks to Laura over at Elephant Juice for upholding her end of the swap (you can see the pictures we took for Laura and her family and read more about our swap here) and giving us some great images! =)

We had such a great time and are stoked to get a canvas up on our wall! In case we had any doubt, Dac and I are definitely more awkward in front of the camera than we are behind it. We giggled so much Laura probably felt like she was photographing a couple 14-year-olds. But - like I said - it was FUN and I enjoyed the chance to hang out and get to know Laura a little better. It's always fun to talk shop with someone too! We love being part of a great community of supportive and encouraging photographers - and Laura is just that. It makes the job tons more fun!

Anyway - enough chit chat - check out a few of our favorite pictures!! =)




Again Laura, thanks SO much. Can't wait for next time but let's not wait that long to get together again. =)

Here's another post-wedding "engagement" session for ya. Last May we photographed their wedding. It was beautiful and we had such a great time. Prior to that we had tried to get together three times I think to do engagement pictures. Every time we had to cancel because of weather, etc... It was frustrating.

So - Jory and Kristin - being the cool, calm, and laid back types that they are - decided to just wait and do a first anniversary shoot with their little girl. Hang. Up. The. Phone - that girl is adorable. Oh my - and ornery too! =) She was so much fun.

Anyway, we met up with them a couple weeks ago and headed down to their aunt's farm - which was beautiful and full of perfect spots - we could have shot there all night. They decided to bring their horses Twix and Stripe along too - which was way cool. I love that they made the session their own!

Um... how cute is that little daddy-daughter "GO POKES" pose at the end?! Be still my beating heart... awesome family!
