That same weekend, we did our mini-session day. We started out with several bookings but a lot of people had to cancel so we ended up only doing a few. That's ok though, it was fun and we enjoyed spending time with everyone who came! =)
I'll be posting just a few from each session - in chronological order. First up that day were our friends Mark and Kayla, and they're little girl, who you probably remember from her latest pictures, here.
It was a pretty chilly morning and J wasn't too awful into pictures that day. I guess there was just too much to see and do! =)
Still, we had fun and I think we got some cute ones of the birthday girl and her proud mom and dad!!
Stay tuned for more mini-session posts this week!
I'm so excited to share these with you. They are of my new photo friend, Laura, and her sweet little family! I had been looking forward to this session for, well, months really! I first "met" Laura here on the Interwebs a few months back. We became instant Facebook friends and e-mail buddies and planned a little session-swap (we photograph them in exchange for them photographing us...our session is planned for April). Hooray!
Meeting Laura came at just the right time. You see, as much as we LOVE photography and are so blessed to get to do it...doing photography AND working a full-time job AND doing house renovations AND just doing life in general ALL at the same time... can get kind of overwhelming. It's hard to balance and know where your priorities should be and occasionally, questions and doubts come in to play. I think having some local support and having people to talk shop with, bounce ideas off of, etc... is extremely important. That kind of support and those kind of friends can be hard to find though, especially in small communities, because everyone is essentially everyone else's competition. I was sooo excited to talk with Laura and learn that she too was looking for this AND is just as nice and encouraging as can be! I love it! That's how things should be, ya know? It was just the reassurance I needed to keep pluggin' along! =)
Anyway, back to the session! Laura had been throwing wardrobe and session ideas at me for a while and the more she did, the more excited I got! Even though I was a tad nervous when we got there (hello! shooting for another photographer is kind of intimidating) we had an absolute blast during their session. We hit up a couple different locations, they all looked fantastic, we got to use Laura's newest Craigslist find (awesome gold chair), I got to pet some baby cows (be still my beating heart), and a special adorable little somebody got a lollipop at the end!! =) We couldn't have asked for a better picture day.
Enjoy!
Love the pics and glad you finally got a moooo session too ;)

Bryce and Leah are both genuine, sweet, down-to-earth people and I know they'll make each other very happy. They're from New York and they're having their wedding there next Fall.
I tell you what, we work with some amazing people and we never take for granted how fortunate we are because of that!
Here's a looksie! PS - I love Leah's hair. She might just be inspiration to grow mine back out. =) We'll see though.
Dac and Alisha I love all of these! You do such an amazing job! You even made Bryce look like he was enjoying himself(which I think he was). Can't wait to see more!!!
Thank you all again
Super cute couple!! It's obvious how in love they are :) I am loving that wall of ivy!!! Very cool...and beautiful! Great shots, as always!

She was really great during pictures. She was a tad overwhelmed at first but quickly settled in and got comfy-cozy for pictures. We decided it would have been funny to do a behind-the-scenes look at this session but of course we think of those things after the fact. Sometimes it's funny to see all that goes into a newborn session. =)
It was all worth it though. In between Miss S's feedings and holdings, we got these:
Congratulations C Family!!! We couldn't be happier for you. You are already such great parents!
You need to add a "BABY ALERT" warning to your links! :) Adorable!
(09.27.10)Adorable!!! How precious these memories will always be!!!!!!!!!!!
(10.03.10)ooops, not an "aunt" to this one, but willing to sub as one!!
(10.03.10)
I don't have long to chat but wanted to show you these pictures from a family session we did last weekend. It had been a long time since their last family picture so we were happy to help them out. =) Plus, we always have so much fun with these guys!
