A couple weeks ago, our super-duper good friends John and Anna came to visit and this time Anna had a wee little baby in her belly that we can't wait to meet!! =) We had SO much fun doing this session!

Life with this group of friends will never be quite the same, there's no denying that... but oh how fun it will be!! =) I think baby girl Cannon and this sweet thing will make perfect additions!!

PS - I think Anna just looks beautiful. If I were pregnant (which I'm NOT) I hope I'd look as good as Anna.

PSS - Special thanks to Amy for offering up her vintage couch for the session!

Well what'dya think?

And, while we're here, let's take care of some business. I should have mentioned this months ago but I just couldn't bare the thought of it and ended up taking some additional sessions and weddings anyway, but we are officially BOOKED solid for the rest of 2010! Thank you, thank you sooo much for keeping us so busy. We have worked with such great people and it's just flown by. We're taking portrait sessions and weddings for 2011. More on that later just wanted to give you a heads up!

Happy Wednesday!

Oh blog friends. Do I have a treat for you. I get to share with you a glimpse of a somewhat "newly" formed family... yet a family, I believe, God had in the works all along.

If there's ever been any two people that wanted and deserved to have kids, it's Dereck and Erika. Erika is a daycare provider and has loved other many peoples' babies just like they were her very own. She and Dereck no doubt have a heart for children and are truly great with them!

Without going into tons of details, these two have had a tough road with pregnancy loss. A road nobody should have to travel down. Still, after a long wait, they were blessed with these two adorable little girls. And believe me, these two adorable little girls are very blessed too. It's a win-win!

The adoption was official last month and we were so thrilled we got to take their first "official" family pictures!!!!!!!! I've loved having a couple extra kiddos in the group to love on and I've loved getting to see Dereck and Erika be parents! I think all of their friends and family would agree, we're all winners too!

=)

Our last (but not least) mini-session was a very special family! I have been friends with Heather for a looooong time and her sweet family has been there the whole time too! =) You may even remember her little not-so-little-anymore sister Katy from her senior pictures we took last year.

I thought they all looked great and we had tons of fun making these pictures for them!

I know two blog posts in one day might be a bit hard to swallow... but well, I had the time to do it and the pictures to do it, so why not, right? Session #3 was this cute couple! =)

We had such a great time with them and wish we could have had about an hour more! We just got so busy chatting and catching up that time flew. Katie is a friend of mine from waaaaaaaay back in my tennis playin', puff paint "Go Bulldogs" t-shirt wearin', Grinder Man cookie scarfin', so dorky I was cool days! While I don't have nearly as many stories to tell about Jacob... he seemed like an alright guy! I kid, I kid - Jacob was great and I think he and Katie make a perfect pair! =)

PS - you guys kind of spoiled me with all the recent comments...let's hear 'em again!!! =D You can say what you think about the pictures (I for one love Katie's outfit), what you're doing this fine Fall weekend (going garage sale surfing for some vintage furniture and other treats, taking engagement pictures, and family pictures for starters), or even what your favorite jumbo cookie flavor is (M&M and orange frosted sugar cookie for me, please)! GO!

Kayla:

I will comment to the fact that you shouldn't be talking about those Grinder Man cookies....they are no longer =( Also, the pictures are great. Love the first one!

(10.16.10)
Kayla:

Oh I guess I was wrong about that last comment...=) Didn't see the paper from yesterday until just now! So I guess you can still get you a big ol cookie! =)

(10.16.10)
Laura:

I am in LOVE with Katie's sweater!! Where from, where from?!?!
I also love that so many of my friends left comments on our blog post. I just saw them...made me all warm and fuzzy inside! Hmm...I've never had a jumbo cooking from Grinder Man. Am I missing out?

(10.17.10)
Katie:

Alisha, again, I love the pictures! And I can't wait to get some cookies this weekend & hopefully run into you & Dac.

Because there seems to be some demand for information, the sweater came from Anthropologie (on sale & I can't find a link to it right now)

Momma Pam:

Love the color on you Katie. These are great pictures.

So right after we did Mark and Kayla's family, Kayla's mom Kerrie wanted some pictures of her and her two adorable granddaughters. How cool will it be for them when they're older to have these special pictures with grandma?! Pretty cool, I think! =) Grandmas are such special people (at least mine and Dac's are!!) and I know I love looking back at old pictures of them playing with me.

Kerrie's a very young, hip, and cool grandma and I know the girls are going to have a blast with her when they're a little older!

These first few are of E and her mom Amanda (Kayla's sister). Since she was there anyway, I thought she should jump in a few just for kicks!

The girls were way to busy playing to look at the camera much and you know what? I think that's perfectly ok!! Sometimes it's good to just relax, live in the moment, and enjoy play time - camera there or not. =)
